Today we took a time portal back to the Victorian period and we learnt all about what it would have been like to be a poor Victorian child, living in Southwark. We discovered what chores children were made to do and how often they go to wash! The children also got to immerse themselves into school life with Victorian teachers; they learnt the three R’s and bible studies. Afterwards, we visited Borough market and the ship by the docks where many of the Southwark Victorian children may have worked!
We had a fantastic day to finish off our Victorian topic!
